Course Description

TOPIC TEST SERIES This Topic Test Series is designed to help students practise every important topic in a focused and exam-oriented manner. Each test will cover a specific topic so that students can identify their strengths, improve weak areas, and build accuracy with regular practice. The tests will include questions from the following areas: 1. English This section will test the student’s overall command of the English language. It will include vocabulary, sentence usage, grammar-based application, and language understanding. The purpose of this section is to improve clarity, accuracy, and confidence in English-based questions. 2. English Grammar This section will focus on grammar rules and their practical application. Questions may include topics such as parts of speech, tenses, subject-verb agreement, articles, prepositions, modifiers, active-passive voice, direct-indirect speech, sentence correction, and error spotting. The aim is not just to memorise grammar rules but to understand how they are used in exam-style questions. 3. Quantitative Aptitude This section will test numerical ability, calculation skills, and basic mathematical understanding. Questions may be based on topics such as percentages, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, averages, time and work, time-speed-distance, simple and compound interest, number system, algebra, mensuration, and data interpretation. Students should focus on both concept clarity and speed while attempting this section. 4. Logical Reasoning This section will test the student’s ability to think logically and solve problems using reasoning skills. Questions may include topics such as arrangements, blood relations, directions, coding-decoding, syllogisms, series, analogies, puzzles, statements and conclusions, assumptions, and critical reasoning. The purpose of this section is to develop analytical thinking and improve decision-making under time pressure. 5. Reading Comprehension This section will test reading ability, understanding, inference-making, and interpretation of passages. Students will be required to read passages carefully and answer questions based on main idea, tone, purpose, vocabulary in context, assumptions, conclusions, and factual details. The aim is to improve reading speed, comprehension accuracy, and the ability to understand complex passages. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS 1. Read every question carefully before selecting the answer. 2. Attempt the test within the given time limit. 3. Do not spend too much time on one question. 4. First attempt the questions you are confident about. 5. Mark difficult questions for review and return to them later if time permits. 6.
